About
Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons at Surfing International, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Kingscliff, NSW in the Tweed Shire, just a 15 minute drive south of the Gold Coast.
Meet the Team
Surfing International is owned and operated by Francesco Nicoletti. Originally form Italy, Francesco started surfing when he was 12 years old. He’s surfed in France, Portugal, and Ireland and then moved to the Gold Coast, Australia.
Francesco is an advanced level surfer and holds ASI Surfing Instructor, first aid and surf rescue certifications. He also speaks Italian (his first language) and has intermediate level of Spanish.
After five years working as surfing instructor in Australia, he decided to open his own surf school—wanting not only to provide high-quality lessons, but also to create new experiences, adventures, and fun for his students.
Francesco is assisted by qualified instructors, holding surf rescue and aid certifications.
Services Overview
Surfing International offers group and private surfing lessons and surf tours for beginner level surfers.
Sessions cater for young adults, students and international travellers. However everybody is welcome to join the activities.
Francesco aims to provide an surfing experience that will leave you carrying a package full of memories and unique moments, just like he once did as a young kid, travelling back home with an open heart and a big smile at the end of a surfing adventure.
Location Features
Surf lessons are held on the beach at Lions Park, Kingscliff.
It’s long sandy beach, sheltered from the big swells. The waves break regularly and provide the perfect playground for beginner surfers.
It’s also the go-to spot when organising surfing trips from the Gold Coast.
Facilities
The surf School van is usually parked at Lions Park, near the amenities and showers—but most importantly, right in front of Salt Mill, a café popular for its coffee and breakfasts.
It’s where many of our students lose track of time, often arriving a little late for the beginning of the lesson.
