ASI Refund Policies & Fees

At the ASI, we aim to provide clear and transparent policies regarding refunds, administrative fees, and course updates.

Below are the terms and conditions governing refunds across our workshop courses, online learning, accreditation, and resources.

1. Workshop Courses Refund Policy

To receive a full refund (less the Refund Administration Fee), you must provide written notice prior to the start of your workshop:

  • Standard Minimum Notice: 14 days prior to the workshop date, unless otherwise specified in your enrolment information.

  • Extended Notice Courses: Certain specialised courses require a minimum notice of 21 days.

Non-Refundable Workshop Conditions:
No refund will be issued if:

  • Notice is given within the minimum notice period (fewer than 14 or 21 days).

  • Course training resources have already been accessed or delivered.

  • Any assessment tasks have been submitted or completed.

2. Online Learning Courses

Due to immediate access to proprietary digital content:

  • No refunds are issued once your course application has been processed by ASI.

3. Administrative and Reassessment Fees

Fees are calculated based on the original currency paid during enrolment.

Refund Administration Fee

Applies to eligible workshop refund requests made prior to the minimum notice period.

  • AUD: $75

  • USD: $75

  • EUR: €60

  • GBP: £50

Reassessment Fee

Applies to the re-evaluation of course projects, practical video submissions, and resubmissions.

  • AUD: $75

  • USD: $75

  • EUR: €60

  • GBP: £50

4. ASI Instructor Certificate Renewals

  • No refunds are provided once a renewal application form has been submitted and ASI has commenced processing.

5. ASI Surf School Accreditation

Accreditation fees are strictly non-refundable once any of the following milestones occur:

  • Access to the ASI Member Area and resources has been granted.

  • The formal audit process has commenced.

  • The ASI School Accreditation Certificate has been issued.

6. ASI Training Manuals, Publications

  • Damaged or Defective Items: If you receive a broken product, please contact ASI within 7 days of receipt to arrange a return. Upon receiving the item, a refund for the purchase price will be issued (excluding postage charges).

  • General Publications: No refunds are issued once physical items or publications have been dispatched.

7. Gift Vouchers

  • Gift vouchers must be redeemed prior to their expiration date and / or as per local country law regulations.

  • No refunds are available once a gift voucher has been issued.

  • Transferability: Vouchers may be transferred to another person subject to review on a case-by-case basis.

8. Additional Services & Enquiries

Other specialised services offered by the ASI are governed by specific terms detailed within their respective application materials.
