Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons at Waves Surf School, an ASI accredited surf school. Waves provides surf adventures in beautiful national parks. Choose 1 day surf trips, weekend surf camps only 1 hour from Sydney or Sydney to Byron Bay surf tours. All surf adventures start from Sydney.
Dean and his team of qualified instructors aim to provide the ultimate surfing adventure experiences. Get away from the crowds. Step into the surf life, camp in national parks close to the beach, live the life of a travelling surfer. Lessons are provided for beginners. Also ideal for anyone wanting to experience Aussie surf adventures.
Kids surf camps are also scheduled for schools holidays. For beginner to advanced levels. Includes all equipment, BBQ lunch, certificate and t-shirt.
Waves Surf School is owned and run by Dean Dunstone. He's been surfing for over 30 years and has surfed at locations all over the world. Dean has been an active member of surf lifesaving performing his first rescue when he was just 13 years old. He also played the part of the young surf grommet in the cult movie, Puberty Blues!
Dean is an ASI Level 3 Surfing Coach, holds his surf rescue, advanced resuscitation, senior first aid qualifications, and NSW bus operators licence. He has extensive experience in teaching surfing and running surf camps in remote locations including living and teaching surfing in California. Dean is also an accomplished music promoter organising large music gigs at famous Bondi Beach - all skills he brings to Surfs Up.
Waves Surf School is an ASI Instructor Training Centre (ITC). Dean is an ASI Level 1 Trainer and is authorised to train others to be ASI accredited surfing instructors.
Surf tours start in Sydney and head out to the national parks and specially selected beaches.
Surf lessons and kids camps are held to Cronulla at Boat Harbour. IT is one of Sydneys best kept secrets. A private beach with sand dunes and great waves for surfing. But is only 35 minutes from the city centre.
