Meet the Team
Sligo Bay SUP is owned and operated by Niall Harte. He's been surfing the west of Ireland coastline for 20 years and started paddling in 2009. Niall started the SUP school as a way of getting other people in the area into water sports and to share his passion for Stand Up Paddling with them.
Niall holds ASI Level 1 and Level 2 SUP Instructor accreditation for Enclosed Flat Water and Exposed Waters locations, water rescue and first aid qualifications. He also holds an international water safety licence for personal water craft rescue in high surf.
Niall and his team of accredited instructors have excellent local knowledge and are always able to recommend other activities to do in the area.
Service Overview
Sligo Bay SUP offers group and private SUP lessons, SUP Tours and fitness workouts for kids, adults, parties, school groups, backpackers, universities and corporates.
Their small group tours give you the chance to get up close to a variety of wildlife including seals, dolphins, basking sharks and to enjoy unique views of world renowned landmarks.

Sligo is a popular destination. The beautiful costal estuaries and tranquil inland lakes of Sligo are a perfect place to learn SUP and to explore by paddle board.
The area around Sligo town has over 5,000 archaeological sites including the massive megalithic grave complex at Carrowkeel.
Knocknarea mountain, capped by the great cairn of Miosgan Maeve, dominates the skyline to the west of the town.
