The training is being held at Hartlepool Marina which offers ideal flat-water conditions for SUP at a historic quay.
Immediately outside of the Marina is an inlet, perfect for gradual introduction to exposed waters.
A short hop across the beach is the coastline around Seaton Carew and Hartlepool with ideal surf conditions forming on a northerly swell.
Hartlepool Marina, is a multi-award winning visitor destination surrounded by a cosmopolitan mix of bistros, bars and restaurants.
It has links to Big Ben and the Titanic. You can also paddle under the mast of the Trincomalee – Britain’s oldest warship.
It is also host to a variety of bird and marine life. Cormorants and gannets, arctic turns, oyster catchers and Kittiwake’s to name a few.
