Complete practical assessments with an ASI Trainer.
Complete practical hours experience at an ASI Accredited SUP School or other approved SUP school.

There is limited parking available.  Parking fees apply.   Approximately £5 per day. 

This is an e-learning course, with practical assessments completed with a trainer. 

The trainer will provide guidance on the practical SUP and instruction skills, take video of you, conduct the assessment of your skills and provide feedback. 

The theory is completed online prior to attending the practical session.

Practical session date and time is organised with a trainer to suit your schedule.

There is a maximum of 2 people and the hours may slightly change depending if it is one person or two people.

Ocean Sports Centre are providing local support for the ASI Instructor workshops, providing a wealth of local area knowledge. 

PRACTICAL HOURS EXPERIENCE
Ocean Sports Centre can also provide on-the-job practical hours experience.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
(1) Read the course information and requirements before enrolling.  
(2) You have 12 months to complete all courses.
(3) Within 12 months of enrolling, instructors must submit a:
-Senior First Aid certificate
Your SUP instructor certificate will not be issued until these are received.

• SUP board & coiled leash
• Paddle
• SUP clothing 
• Video camera / phone to take video
• Access to computer 
• Access to an ASI Accredited SUP School or other approved school to complete practical experience
• Organise to complete practical session with an ASI Trainer.

Carbis Bay is a seaside resort in Cornwall, only one mile south east of St Ives.

It is a sheltered bay with Mediterranean blue waters and offers ideal supping conditions.

Inland flat water locations are close by at Hayle and St Ives. 

Outside the bay, is excellent downwinding conditions with a range of routes depending on the prevailing wind conditions.

Right on the water, at Carbis Bay, is a restaurant and a cafe, changing rooms and parking facilities.  

Nearby St Ives offers a range of activities and the famous Tate Gallery.   The beach and coastline offers stunning ocean views.
