Locations
Surf Mexico operates in two key locations on the Nayarit coastline — Bucerías and Punta Mita — giving paddlers access to a diverse range of SUP environments.
Their main base is in Bucerías, only minutes walk to the water,. where the long, sheltered beachfront and typically calm sections of Bahía de Banderas create ideal conditions for flat‑water paddling, beginner lessons, SUP tours, and technique development. The bay’s warm water, gentle swell, and predictable wind patterns make it a comfortable and safe environment for families, travellers, and anyone learning to SUP for the first time.
Surf Mexico also offers SUP services at nearby Punta Mita. It provides a very different style of paddling: the peninsula is surrounded by clear, open ocean water, reef‑influenced breaks, and more dynamic swell patterns. This makes it an excellent location for SUP surfing, intermediate‑to‑advanced progression, and performance‑focused training.
Together, Bucerías and Punta Mita give Surf Mexico the ability to offer two complementary SUP environments — one calm and beginner‑friendly, the other more powerful and surf‑oriented — allowing paddlers to choose the experience that best matches their goals.
