HELP

East Hamptons, a play ground for the Rich and famous is on Long Island. Learn how to SUP or go on  guided SUP tours with ASI accredited SUP school Paddle Diva,  founded by ASI instructor Gina Bradley. The school is located in East Hamptons and utilises the local area including Montauk, Sag Harbour, and the North Fork.

The area has an amazing variety of flat water, surf beaches and is surrounded by nature and beautiful wildlife areas. The local waterways offer different levels of paddling ability and interesting tours to suit any skill level. It’s very natural, relaxing and a great escape from the city life

The Location

East Hampton is located on a peninsula, bordered on the south by the Atlantic Ocean and the north by Gardiners Bay in South Eastern Suffolk County, New York, at the eastern end of Long Island. It is the easternmost town in the state of New York 105 miles, (2 hrs 15 minute) drive from New York City

SUP  Activities

The SUP school offers group and private stand up paddle lessons, stand up paddle certificate courses and guiding tours and adventures in flat water, SUP surfing, distance paddling and SUP yoga for families, kids, adults, parties, girls only groups, school groups, community groups and corporates.  Competition coaching sessions can also be scheduled.

Gina Bradley has spent many years exploring the coast and lakes in this area and recommends the following SUP excursions:

A point-to-point “Three Bay” trip from Shagwong Marina in Three Mile Harbour to Accabonac Harbour by way of Gardiners’s Bay. This trip includes a loop around Wood Tick Island, past rocks that are home for a variety of water birds. These are among the most pristine waters you will find anywhere in the world as they are all tidal, running in and out of the Atlantic Ocean.

Noyak Bay Explorations. The North coast of Southampton is still one of the most undiscovered areas to paddle. We plan at least four adventure paddle tours to the area, which runs due west of Sag Harbour in Great Peconic Bay.

A fast down-wind run from Lazy Point to Montauk. Get in at Lazy Point and enjoy the “waterfence” as you paddle in Gardiner’s Bay alongside Hither Hills. The paddle ends at Navy Beach, also a great place to arrange to meet a friend and enjoy a lunch at one of Montauk’s famous Navy Beach restaurants!

Gardiner’s Island Paddle. This paddle involves a boat but it’s a paddle not to be missed! Explore the ruins of the old artillery forts along the western-most edge of the island. Then the shores to do a scenic paddle along the coast, taking in as much of the scenery from this mysterious island as possible!

Shelter Island round-trip paddles. Surf Diva have five special paddle adventures that allow them to explore and enjoy areas of Shelter Island that are normally only accessible by boat!
