Enclosed Flat Water (SUP Wise Intensiv)
enrol optionsSUP Wise Intensiv sets the world standard in learning to SUP. Understand the ASI safe paddling guidelines and competency standards and paddle with confidence, safety and correct technique, at a range of enclosed flat water locations.
Correct paddle stroke and other paddle skills is the key to paddling with safety, with ease and minimising muscle injury. Understanding your SUP environment and SUP hazards is also key to keeping safe.
You have online access to a comprehensive manual with extensive photos and videos or correct and incorrect technique, and clear explanations.
Submit your own paddling video to receive written feedback on your paddle stroke technique and other paddle skills, and areas of competency or areas to work on.
Pre-requisite Course for SUP Instructors
This course is also a pre-requisite course for people wanting to enrol in the Level 1 SUP Instructor course.
ASI also offers a 3 hour workshop for people looking to be SUP instructors. However this workshop is not a learn to SUP session. You should already have paddling experience as the workshop is only designed to cover, discuss, understand and practice correct techniques, skills and guidelines and receive informal feedback on your own paddle technique.
If you are new to paddling and want to attend face to face workshop sessions, we recommend you contact an ASI Accredited SUP School and join in the SUP Wise Activ program or SUP Wise Level 1 Enclosed Flat Water certificate program.
You can still enrol in the online course to gain access to the SUP Wise Intensiv online manual.
