Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons at Ocean Living Surf School, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Goolwa on the Fleurieu Peninsula, only 75 minutes drive south of Adelaide city centre.
Ocean Living Surf School is owned and run by Phil Ball. He’s an experienced surfer and started surfing from a young age. Phil has surfed most of the breaks around Adelaide, west coast of South Australia and Western Australia. He's also a member of the Mal Adjusted Surfing Club and Goolwa surf lifesaving club.
Phil is an ASI accredited surfing instructor and holds surf rescue and first aid qualifications, Education Department of SA and Catholic Archdiocese Police Check Certificate. He was previously a martial arts instructor, holding black belt status and has lots of experience coaching children.
Surfing is a Phil's passion and owning and operating the surf school allows Phil to do what he loves doing. He's assisted in the surf school by experienced and accredited instructors.
Goolwa is the ideal place to learn to surf, with prefect breaking waves for beginners. Intermediate to advanced surfing locations are also nearby.
Goolwa is located at the mouth of the Murray River on Lake Alexandrina and is a watersports paradise with rivers, a magnificent lake, white sandy beaches, great surf and scenic coastline. Goolwa was once a thriving Riverport. It is State Heritage listed and its historic buildings have been restored to art galleries, cafes and B’B’s. World class wine regions, and regional produce are close by.
Staying overnight or longer in Goolwa is the perfect getaway, where you can also explore the local area. Phil and his team will welcome you and you will want to keep coming back. !
