Meet the Team
Freewave Surf Academy is owned and operated by Robin Ross Edmonds. He’s been working in the outdoor industry for over 20 years and is an experienced surfing coach operating his own surfing school. He surfs all year round but especially loves surfing the UK’s strong winter swells.
He set up the surf school as many people were asking him to teach them to surf. He thought it would be a great business doing what you love and introducing others to the stoke of surfing.
Robin is an ASI Level 3 Surfing coach, lifeguard and first aid trainer, and level 3 Certificate in Education and Training.
He is assisted in the surf school with a team of highly qualified surfing instructors, holding surf rescue and first aid qualifications.
