Gee Cormack owns and operates Chix Surf School. She grew up in the area and has surfed her whole life. She has coached surfers to the elite competition level, since 2017 and has spent time training with the Olympic development team in a different sporting arena.

Specialising in girls only and father and daughters surfing sessions,  Gee saw the potential difficulties faced by girls growing up in a male-dominated surfing line-up.  The school is a place that girls can feel empowered and positive as they learn and train in the art of surfing.

Chix Surf School offers group and private learn to surf lessons, holiday programmes, surf clinics, surfing awareness sessions for all ages and abilities.

Specially designed training programs created by Gee, cover progressive surf coaching, that take you from beginner to advanced levels.

Gee and her team of qualified instructors, will make you feel welcome, can tailor programs to suit you, to get you up and riding in no time, and even help you to gain competition level skills if that is your aspiration !

Chix Surf School is owned and operated Gee Cormack.  She grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and has surfed her whole life. The ocean is a big part of her family so it was only natural she was going to become a surfer.  From a young age, Gee would play on the clubby boards at Nippers Lifesaving and then tried surfboards and fell in love with surfing.

Gee has been surf coaching since 2007 and prior to that was training with the Olympic development team in another sport.

She set up Chix Surf School and specialised in all girl activities as she absolutely loves surfing.  She grew up as the only girl in her community, where she was encouraged by her male peers.   As an adult she noticed  many women in the water hesitated or didn't feel confident in their ability or their environment and this is when her idea for a women's surf school started.

She wanted to be able to provide a positive, empowering and educational space for women and young girls of all levels to come and progress in their surfing

Gee is assisted in the surf school be team of experienced qualified instructors.

Chix Surf School offers group and private surfing lessons, Surf Wise beginner to advanced surfing certificate courses, surfing awareness, surf clinics, body movement training, on land surf training and holiday programmes for girls and women and father and daughter sessions, and school groups, for all ages and abilities.

They also specialise in progressive surfing with surfing programs specially developed to take you from beginner to elite level if that is your aspiration.  Or you can join in the surfing sessions just for the fun of it.

Surfing sessions are held at Freshwater Beach plus other locations including Palm Beach, Curl Curl Beach, Warriewood Beach and Basin Beach at Mona Vale.

The locations along the Northern Beaches are prime surfing hotspots. The waves are ideal for all levels from beginner to advanced and the range of beaches on offer mean there is never a shortage of appropriate waves, from long rolling lines to short punchy breaks.

This beautiful stretch of coastline offers crystal clear water and golden sand situated beneath towering cliff faces that deliver natural bush walks between beaches.
