About us
Learn how to stand up paddle and have SUP lessons and tours at Suffolk SUP, an ASI accredited learn to stand up paddle school, located at Bures near Ipswich Suffolk, less than 2 hour’s drive north east of London.
There are amazing waterways and the ocean around Suffolk, with nature all round, and there is no better place to learn, enjoy the scenery and get involved in supping.
Meet the Team
Suffolk SUP is owned and run by Neil Morris. He is an experienced paddler and has been an accredited SUP instructor since 2014.
He also is involved in the local SUP club and competes in SUP races on a regular basis.
Neil holds ASI Level 1 Enclosed Flat Water and Level 2 Exposed Waters SUP instructor accreditation, water rescue and first aid qualifications. And is assisted in the SUP school by ASI accredited SUP instructors.
Service Overview
Suffolk SUP offers group and private lessons, SUP Wise learn to SUP certificate courses, SUP tours, team building for kids, adults, parties, hens and stag parties, school groups, community and corporate groups.
SUP rentals are also available.
Suffolk SUP also offers a SUP Club. Social paddles are organised at a range of different locations. It’s a great way to meet other likeminded people, and to improve general fitness and SUP skills.
School Features
Suffolk SUP is based at Bures at the Bures Recreation Ground. Its located right on the river Stour.
SUP paddles are also organised down the River Stour (Cattawade, Flatford, Dedham) and other waterways around Suffolk such as the River Orwell, paddling from near the Orwell Bridge to Pin Mill.
As you paddle along, you will see a wide variety of bird life and nice scenery.
Exposed waters session are also held at the nearby ocean at Felixstowe. You can developed yours skills these locations.
Another popular starting point is from the Maybush Inn in Waldringfield (easy to park and great light refreshment afterwards!).
With so many rivers and easy access to the sea in Suffolk, SUP is ideal way to increase time on the water.
