Learn how to SUP and have SUP lessons and tours at Sea Synergy Marine Awareness & Activity Centre SUP School, an ASI accredited learn to stand up paddle school located at Waterville, Co Kerry, Ireland, about 360 km / 5 hour drive southwest from Dublin.
Sea Synergy is a specialised marine awareness centre offering a variety of activities, workshops and adventures to all ages. Their marine experiences allow people to experience the Skellig Coast’s rich local heritage and environment and all of what Ireland’s Wild Atlantic has to offer.
Learn to paddle or take a tour with Sea Synergy. Sea Synergy’s qualified instructors are very knowledgeable about the local area, wildlife and water creatures. They will generate confidence in paddle boarding even for those of zero experience and little sense of balance.
Meet the Team
Sea Synergy is owned by experienced paddler and marine biologist, Lucy Hunt. She holds a master’s degree in zoology and a degree in marine environmental protection, is a SUP Instructor, dive master, rescue diver, emergency first responder and has a certificate in wilderness first aid.
Lucy had a previous career in working all over the world in marine education, marine mammal observation, marine education, marine research and eco-tourism.
She started the SUP school at Sea Synergy as Waterville offers such an amazing environment, she wanted to provide different ways to connect with it.
Lucy is assisted in the SUP School, experienced ASI accredited SUP Instructors, holding first aid and rescue qualifications.
Service Overview
Sea Synergy provides SUP tours and lessons, for private sessions and groups, SUP Wise certificate courses and team building to all ages and abilities.
The school also provides kayaking, snorkeling and sea life exhibitions.
Location Features
SUP lessons and tours run from the stunning Lough Currane river, with its breathtaking scenery and calm tranquil conditions.
The river is steeped in history and Irish folklore and is known as the shortest river in Ireland.
You can spot water lilies, rabbits, hares, a variety of birdlife, dragon flies, salmon and sea trout here.
