Learn to stand up paddle and have stand up paddle lessons with Jungle Surf SUP School, an accredited ASI stand up paddle school, located on beautiful Wallis Lake in the Tuncurry-Forster area, Mid North Coast, NSW, just 3 hours drive north of Sydney.
Jungle Surf SUP School is owned and operated by Ross and Charne Lindsay. Ross has been in surf industry as wholesaler and retailer for the past 25 years, Charne is a registered fitness instructor since, 1999, teaching group fitness and personal training and also holds a Bachelor of Ed (Adult Education) and Cert 4 in workplace training and assessment.
Ross and Charne both hold ASI accredited Level 2 Exposed Waters SUP Instructor certificates as well as flat water rescue and first aid qualifications. Charne is also an ASI SUP Yoga Instructor. They are assisted in the SUP School by qualified ASI certified instructors.
Ross's experience surfing, in retail and racing led him to paddling in 2008. Through their retail surf store, he saw the rise of SUP and it was a natural progression as a surfer to embrace the sport and bring SUP to their beautiful location.
Charne was immediately impacted by the ability to connect fitness and yoga to the waterways and took advantage of the amazing lake system at their doorstep to get ladies to try SUP in a completely safe environment.
Jungle Surf SUP School offers paddling fun on the water in the form of group and private lessons. They provide lessons, tours, certificate courses for beginner to advanced paddlers.
SUP Yoga sessions are held are held on a regularly basis and have proved very popular. It’s a great location for SUP yoga, very protected and serene.
The school has a large range of SUP equipment and clothing that can be purchased from their SUP and surf shop.
Jungle Surf SUP School operates from Wallis Lake beach. Wallis Lake is one of the cleanest lakes in Australia with clear waters year round. Located within the Great Lakes Region it is 25 km long and 9 km wide at full capacity covering 25,000 acres.
It’s calm water ways make it idyllic to learn to paddle or spend the day paddling with family and friends. It offers perfect conditions for SUP Yoga.
