Australia Enjoys COVID Free Lifestyle !

Posted date: 29-January-2021

Australia is pretty much COVID free.  Life has been back to normal.  Surf and SUP Schools have been busy in the January 2021 summer school holidays, with little restrictions on how they operate.   Aussies are holidaying at home !

The Australian borders are still closed to non-Australians.   Anyone Australian returning must quarantine for 14 days in a government hotel.   Limits on Australians returning are in place due limited hotel quarantine places.

But overall, the future is looking pretty good for surf and SUP schools in Australia.

State borders have been in place but these are easing.  Which means Aussies can now travel between states.

All borders will be open to each other (except for people from hotspot areas).

But, permits required to enter West Australia, Queensland, Victoria.  (if travelling from certain states)

WA will still require 14 day self-quarantine.

Most states have no COVID safety restrictions.  But Victoria and NSW still have some.

Only other restrictions are now mandatory wearing of masks at airports and on planes. (from Jan 2021)

Hotspot areas are in NSW, as a matter of precaution.
