Enrol into 2 (two) ASI SUP instructor qualifications at the same time and take advantage of the combined workshop discount fee.

These courses are delivered over 3 consecutive days.  It’s the ideal way to get qualified.

Early bird rate is available if you enrol and pay in advance.

Level 1 SUP Instructor Enclosed Flat Waters  
Tue-Wed. 23-24 April 2019.    9am to 5pm (2 days)

Level 2 SUP Instructor Exposed Waters 
Thurs. 25 April 2019.    9am to 5pm  (1 day) 


HOSTING
Strive Adventure are providing local support for the ASI Instructor workshops, providing a wealth of local area knowledge.  


PRACTICAL HOURS
Strive Adventure can also provide on-the-job practical experience.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION

(1) 
Read the course information and requirements before enrolling.  
See links under Course Schedule.
(2) 
Within 12 months for attending the workshop, instructors must submit a:
-Water Rescue Certificate
-Senior First Aid certificate
Your SUP instructor certificate will not be issued until these are received.
(3) 
You must enrol in SUP Wise for Instructors Foundation Skills. (3 hours)  
Course information
Exemption only provided if you have completed SUP Wise at an ASI school or are aware of, understand and can demonstrate the ASI paddling techniques and methodologies.
(4)
After the workshop you will complete practical hours experience.


RESCUE AND FIRST AID COURSES

ASI Trainer, Stevie Boyle also conducts ASI SUP Rescue course and you can enrol direct with ASI.

Complete all your SUP Instructor accreditation requirements at the same time.


SLSGB surf coach rescue, Surf lifeguard and aquatic first aid courses are also delivered by Stevie Boyle. Payment and enrolment is separate to ASI.

Also in North Berwick and Dunbar.  Where there are many B&Bs, hotels, etc.

Prestonpans. A few minutes walk to training venue. Buses every 15 min.

  • Flat water SUP board & coiled leash
  • Paddle 
  • SUP paddling clothing


If you are travelling and don’t have your SUP board or SUP gear, you can rent/it from Strive Adventure. £15 per day.

Whether its stand up paddle, surfing or kayaking in the flat water lakes and waves, sailing or kitesurfing with the wind, exploring what's under the surface through diving or powering along the surface on powerboats and sightseeing tours this coastline really does have it all!

At East Lothian is the Musselburgh Lagoons - a fantastic small lake ideally suited for flat water supping. 

For exposed waters - there is the entire 40 mile length of the East Lothian coastline to play with. This includes award winning beaches; cliffs; castles; coves and the islands of the Forth (Craigleith; Fidra; The Lamb; Bass Rock).

All just a short way from Scotland’s Inspiring Capital city - Edinburgh.
