Learn how to stand up paddle with Sutherland Shire SUP School, an ASI accredited school, located near Cronulla in Sydney.
Sutherland Shire SUP School is owned and run by Peter Japp. He started surfing when he was 6 years old and has competed at most levels including the Australian Titles Longboard comp. Peter took up paddling and was hooked. He is also president of the Cronulla Sutherland Stand Up Paddle club and is regularly involved in organising fun family events.
Peter is an ASI accredited SUP instructor, holds water rescue and first aid qualifications as well as a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.
Peter started the SUP school as he is passionate about the sport. No matter what your age or background, SUP is a sport that can be enjoyed by the whole family, says Peter. He is assisted in the SUP school by other ASI qualified SUP instructors.
Sutherland Shire Stand Up Paddle School offers private and group lessons and river tours for adults and children and family and corporate groups.
Sessions are held on the beautiful Woronora River. It is ideal for supping. Sheltered from wind, nice sandy beach and as you paddle down the river, there is natural bushland all around, with few houses. It’s the perfect way to de-stress and only 20 minutes from Cronulla or 20 minutes from Liverpool.
We also conduct river tours on the Port Hacking River to the Needles Weir and other locations in Sutherland Shire. Along the way stop at the waterfront café, have a picnic or BBQ and then head back. Anything is possible.
