Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons at Skipp Surf School, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Bulli and Wollongong City beaches.

Skipp Surf School is owned and run by Josh Skipp. He grew up in the local area and has been surfing from the age of 9. Josh comes from a family of surfers. His father was one of the first people to open a surf school outside the Sydney metro area, some 45 years ago. As well as two surf shops in Wollongong, Skipp also has a surfboard shaping business.

Josh is an experienced surfer and has surfed extensively all over Australia, Indonesia and worlwide. After many years of helping friends learn to surf, Josh decided to start his own surf school. The local area here is a great place to learn to surf, says Josh, very natural beaches and good beginner waves.

Josh is assisted by a team of qualified instructors. They are all accredited surfing instructors and hold a variety of surf rescue, first aid and advanced resuscitation qualifications.

Skipp Surf School offers group and private surfing lessons from beginner to advanced level, surfing guide trips, surfing awareness, for kids adults, families, girls only, school groups, university students and corporates. Personal coaching lessons are also available for people interested in developing intermediate to advanced surfing skill.

Skipp Surf School has developed a unique learn to surf program that will have you surfing in no time. We spend time in the pool to get you familiar with surfing before we hit the ocean.
