Learn to surf and have surf lessons at the Scarborough Beach Surf School, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Scarborough Beach, Perth.

The surf school first started operating in 1986 and is ideally situated at one of Perth’s better surfing locations.

Scarborough Beach Surf School has a team of experienced and qualified instructors all holding accredited surfing instructor qualifications and senior first aid qualifications.

They have been coaching for many years and have elite surfing skills. Mark Clift, the head coach, also trains the state junior surfing team, is an Australian Surfing champion with over 20 years personal surf coaching expertise.

Our aim is to get you surfing whilst having fun. We offer learn to surf programs that allow you to progress at your own speed. Our instructors are in the water with you, the whole time, giving you tips and working on your technique. Before you know it, you'll be trimming along on small waves - it just depends on your commitment.

Group sizes are limited to 6 thereby ensuring more private attention. When you start to progress, you will be with other people at your own skill level. We also help with board and other equipment selection. Kids classes are separate to adults, and we have special school holiday programs.

Corporate, schools and other groups can also be accommodated.

Scarborough Beach Surf School is associated with Lancelin Beach Surf School. You can choose to take a few lessons in Scarborough and then head north for a change of surfing experience or stay overnight in the surf camp. It’s all part of the fun.
