Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons at Sawtell Surf School, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Sawtell approximately 10 kilometres south of Coffs Harbour, North Coast, NSW Australia.
Sawtell Surf School is owned and run by Caspian O'Donnell. He grew up in Sawtell and has been surfing the local breaks since he was 12 years old. Caspian has been actively involved in competitive surfing and competed in regional and national titles and was NSW open champion. He is an accredited surfing instructor, holds his Bronze Medallion life saving, advanced resuscitation and senior first aid. He also holds a Diploma in Hospitality (Surfing).
Caspian started the surf school in 1995 as there was no other school to cater for the local market. He is a past president of the Sawtell Boardriders club, and has been coaching people from beginner to advanced levels.
Caspian is totally involved in surfing. Surfing is my way of life. Its great to be able to give that gift to others and give them the same sort of feeling I get from surfing. We specialise in small groups so people can get lots of feedback.
Sawtell Surf School offers group and private surfing lessons, beginner to advanced, surfing guide trips, surfing awareness, for kids, adults, parties, school groups and corporates.
