Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons at Sanctuary Surfers, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Adelaide.
Sanctuary Surfers is owned by the Sanctuary Baptist Church. Luke Drummond is the manager and head coach. After many years away from God, he found his way back and was fortunate enough to combine his love of surfing and commitment to Jesus Christ to set up and manage Sanctuary Surfers.
Luke is an accredited surfing instructor, holds surf rescue and senior first aid qualifications. He grew up in Adelaide and has been surfing for over 10 years. He’s been coaching surfing for a number of years and has also travelled around the world surfing.
Sanctuary Surfers provides a good clean fun day out with a spiritual aspect to it. We have a deluxe bus coach and a 4 wheel drive vehicle and head off surfing for the day. We decide which beach we go to on the day, so we can get the best surf on the day - even then, we can end up going to different beaches throughout the day to catch the best surf.
Day trips include learn to surf lessons, free surfing, BBQ lunch and the opportunity to socialise and have fun with like minded surfers.
Overnight weekend surf trips and surf surfaris to other states are also scheduled throughout the year.
For schools, we have surfing trips every week (including our own SACE Accredited Unit "1ZC3"). We also offer surf trips for community groups and disadvantaged kids.
