Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons at Fingal Adventures, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Fingal Heads and Kingscliff on the Tweed Coast. Only 15 minutes south of the Gold Coast.
Fingal Heads is an untouched small village, with pristine beaches and no high rise buildings. It is the home of the Minjungbal Aboriginal people and you will find the smallest lighthouse in the state, only 7 metres high, built in 1870. From Fingal, are the beautiful Tweed beaches, to Kingscliff which boasts interesting cafes and a range of accommodation.
Fingal Adventures is owned and run by Glen Hardy. Glen is an all round waterman and is happiest doing any watersports without a motor and instructing ...surfing from beginner to elite levels, body boarding, stand up paddle, canoe-surfing, sea kayaking, outrigger canoeing, lifesaving white water rafting, sailing, snorkeling. He has a facination and admiration of Polynesian/Melanesian canoe culture/history and has travelled widely in the South Pacific: surfing, island hopping and staying in villages.
Glen has been a professional adventure guide instructor and expedition leader since August 1989. He has worked all over Australia and overseas in Papua new Guinea, Solomon Islands, Africa and Norway. He is an accredited surfing instructor and holds surf rescue, senior first qualifications as well as a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
Glen has lived in Fingal Heads for 15 years because it is beautiful and unspoiled by development. He started the surf school because of his love for surfing and adventure sports. He is also assisted in the school by business partner Leisa Bolton. She is a personal fitness trainer and surf activities can be organised to maximum fitness benefits.
Fingal Adventures offers group and private surfing lessons, beginner and intermediate surfing certificate courses, surfing guide trips, team building, customised fitness programs, surfing awareness for kids, adults, parties, school groups and corporates.
For the intermediate to advanced surfer, Fingal Adventures offers competition coaching and video analysis.
We use a range of beaches in the Tweed Coast, so you get the best waves to suit your skill level. It's great being able to introduce others to this beautiful part of the world and the world of surfing.
