Learn to surf and have surfing and surf education lessons at Beyond the Break, an ASI accredited surf school, located at Cronulla, Sydney.

Beyond the Break specialises in providing innovative surf solutions for community groups. Our clients include terminally ill patients, youth groups, charities, disadvantaged and homeschool kids.

Our programs are customised to suit the client group. We provide a range of surf activities including history, education, surf safety, resuscitation, learn to surf, beach activities such as volleyball, surf physiology (stretching), swimming skills.

Depending on the client group, our aim is to provide lifetime experiences and/or engage clients so they are willing and enthusiastic participants.

Beyond the Break is owned and operated by Stuart Murray. Stuart has over 30 years waterman experience and has been an accredited surfing coach for 8 years and surf school owner for 3 years.

Stuart is also an experienced Outreach Street worker and Social Educator - teaching life skills to the disadvantaged. He holds a Certificate IV in Community Services, Diploma in Youth Work and Certificate IV in Life Coaching.

Stuart has developed his surf solutions over years of experience and is passionate about working with community groups. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing someone get the same enjoyment and appreciation for the surf and all it has to offer, says Stuart. The ocean is the greatest teacher – it has no favourites and commands respect.
