SINGAPORE. Late November saw ASI accredited SUP school Constant Wind Sea Sports and Sailing School, based in Singapore, hold a series of fun races as a welcome for their new ASI Level 1 SUP certified students.

The event took place on November 27, 2021 and challenged competitors to paddle in both a 2km race, and across an 800m course in a technical race.

The Constant Wind race days are to become regular event in the school’s calendar and a celebration of the achievements of their students (over 500 students have been educated by the school since 2019).

ASI trainer and Constant Wind instructor, Tony Lee, said, ‘Half of the participants were racing for the first time.

These races are an important building block for the growth of SUP in Singapore. Being an ASI school, we not only equip all paddlers with the ASI SUP Wise level 1, but to encourage them to race for fun and to keep fit for the sport.

We aim to develop a community of paddlers that paddle together every week.’
