If you have advanced surfing skill and have been an accredited surfing instructor for a minimum of 3 years, you can enrol into the ASI level 2 Surfing Coach training course.

Aim

Career Outcomes

  • Surfing instructor within the surfing or outdoor recreation industry.

  • Industry job roles that require surfing knowledge (e.g. sales rep, retail).

  • Identify and manage advanced level surfing risks/hazards

  • Develop emergency processes and response

  • Assess students advanced level skills and identify areas for training

  • Prepare individualised training programs for advanced level students

  • Evaluate own surf coaching

  • Minimising environmental impacts (social and natural)

Entry Requirements

    Before enrolling, you must have:

  • advanced level or above surfing skill and knowledge

  • Surfing Instructor (Level 1)

  • minimum of 3 years recent continuous accredited surfing instruction experience
Other Requirements

  • current surf rescue certificate, and


  • current senior first aid certificate, and


  • current advanced resuscitation certificate
