In today’s world, surfing is one of many activities on our beaches. The surfing instructor is required to not only teach clients to learn to surf, but to ensure clients and others are safe with minimal impact on the environment.

In response to industry need, ASI has developed 4 career qualification levels.

 

Level 1 Surfing Instructor	Qualifed to instruct beginner to intermediate surfing skill and knowledge. Instructors have a minimum of intermediate level surfing skill and knowledge Read more
Level 2 Surfing Coach	Qualifed to instruct beginner to advanced surfing skill and knowledge. Coaches have advanced level surfing skill and knowledge and 3 years continuous surfing instruction experience. Read more
Level 3 Surfing Coach	Qualifed to instruct beginner to elite-advanced surfing skill and knowledge. Coaches have elite advanced surfing skill and knowledge and 5 years continuous surfing instruction experience. Read more
Level 4 Master Surfing Coach	Qualifed to instruct beginner to elite-advanced surfing skill and knowledge and coach competition surfing skills. Coaches have elite advanced surfing skill and knowledge and 10 years continuous surfing instruction experience. Read more
